GV Home Watch, LLC



GV Home Watch inspects all elements of your home both inside and out. On each visit we look for any damage, signs of leaks, mold, pests, and insects. We also check that appliances, plumbing fixtures, HVAC and electrical systems are functioning properly, including exterior landscaping and irrigation. We conduct the inspection using a checklist and send you a detailed report on the same day of the visit. If something needs attention, we notify you immediately. For a non-emergency, you will be contacted to decide on the appropriate course of action. Aside from performing routine on-site inspections, a home watch company can handle things you need done. We can meet contractors or servicemen, receive deliveries, start your car, check your mail, water plants, stock up on groceries before your return, saving you the hassle and valuable time.

GV Home Watch offers weekly, bi-monthly or monthly visits. We can provide additional services such as managing, meeting, and opening your home to service providers. 

GV Home Watch, uses business management software provided by Home Watch IT.  After completing a visit, you will receive an electronic report documenting the visit as well as a description and photos of any problem areas.

EXTERIOR CHECK INCLUDES:

  • 360-degree perimeter check
  • Check for storm damage, vandalism, and forced entry
  • Verify all windows, doors and gates are secure
  • Remove any newspapers, fliers, and "door hangers" from driveway and front entry
  • Check for mail and place inside home
  • Visual check for unwanted pests or infestation
  • Ensuring the pool is being serviced and cleaned
  • Visually check the landscape for any obvious issues or any possible irrigation leaks
  • Check external hose bibs for leaks or damage
  • Visually check the roof and gutters from ground level
  • Sweep the front entry of any dirt, trash or debris
  • Visually check garage and verify the garage doors are working properly

INTERIOR CHECK INCLUDES:

  • Check all windows, doors, ceilings, walls, and floors for signs of damage, water leaks, mold or pest infestation
  • Flush toilets, run water in sinks, tubs, and showers, filling p-traps and checking for leaks
  • Run the garbage disposal and flush with water
  • Complete a rinse cycle on the dishwasher to prevent seals from drying out
  • Checking the HVAC, water softener, water heater, and verify the desired temperatures are accurate
  • Check the refrigerator and freezer for proper temperature and operation, including wine coolers
  • Flush the R/O or drinking water lines
  • Check the electrical panel for any tripped breakers

ADDITIONAL SERVICES:

  • Start and idle stored vehicles.
  • Watering indoor or outdoor plants.
  • Coordinate and meet with serviceman, or contractors to get a bid or complete a project. Receiving an important package, we can be there for you when you can’t be.
  • Brand-new home buyers: Did you just purchase your home but you aren’t moving in right away? We can be your peace of mind until you move in. We will coordinate with the movers, window blind installers, cable/internet providers, appliance servicemen, furniture delivery, painters, cleaners, utility companies, pool service, pest control, landscapers, or anyone else you request to open your home when you can’t be there yourself.
  • After you leave services? We will remove items left in the refrigerator, take out garbage, and other requests to make your arrival and departure as stress free as possible.
  • Check mail -process as directed.
