Friends In Deed is a non-profit organization that has provided free community services to the Green Valley area for the past 51 years. We are staffed by approximately 150 part-time volunteers and are funded by public donations.

Friends In Deed does not receive Federal, State, or County funding. We rely 100% on donations. We are now a Qualifying Charitable Organization that gives you an AZ State Tax credit of up to $800.00 if filing jointly or up to $400.00 if filing single or head of household.

Loaned Medical Equipment: Friends In Deed makes time-limited loans of durable medical equipment at no cost to residents of Green Valley and Sahuarita. Equipment that is available to borrow includes canes, walkers, bedside commodes, shower chairs, wheelchairs, and more. Call 520-625-1150 or stop by 301 W. Camino Casa Verde in Green Valley to discover what is available to you at no cost. Open M-F, 9 AM to 3 PM.

Transportation: Friends In Deed offers a variety of transportation programs. The majority of our volunteer drivers provide their own vehicles and will drive Green Valley residents to medical and legal appointments in Green Valley and Tucson. We will also utilize our wheelchair vans, as needed. Call 520-625-4424 M-F from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. If no answer, leave a message with your phone number and we will return your call. Allow at least 1 week in advance for both Green Valley and Tucson trips to arrange for transportation.

Blood Pressure Clinics: Every Tuesday and Friday. No appointment is necessary. Tuesdays 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM and Fridays 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

Friday Socials: Every Friday 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Join us for entertainment and interesting presentations while enjoying refreshments with old friends and new.

Friends In Deed is an all-volunteer organization with no paid employees. With the help of our over 150 volunteers, we provide all of our services at no charge to residents of Green Valley and the surrounding community.

Our front desk volunteers are the focal point of Friends In Deed and are trained to help clients pick the right kind of medical equipment.

We have volunteers who use their own vehicles to provide clients with transportation to medical appointments. We also have volunteer drivers who are trained to operate our wheelchair van or to drive our eleven-passenger van.

Volunteers staff the transportation dispatch desk and match clients with volunteer drivers. Nurses volunteer their time in our blood pressure clinics. All of the equipment donated to and used by Friends In Deed is maintained to the highest standards by a capable group of volunteers.
