Desert Trekkers

If you are new to hiking you are advised to begin with the Desert Trekkers. If you are not familiar with the destination, please check with the contact person regarding footwear, amount of water needed, and if you should bring a lunch. When in doubt, bring plenty of both. 

Our hikes vary in length from 3 to 6 miles. Most hikes will have a shorter option. 

All hikes will depart from the parking lot on the west side of the Madera Clubhouse (the side closest to the entrance to Quail Creek) on Fridays at the times indicated in the schedule. 

For all hikes, please plan to be in the parking lot no later than 10 minutes before the designated time, so that we can set up carpools. 

Each hiker will be asked to sign a release form for the leader for that trip. This will be done as part of the get-together at Madera before the trip.
